The Nation’s 5K Tour is an endurance challenge unlike any other attempted before, by personal trainer, community leader and fitness influencer Esmée Gummer. She will be completing a 5,000KM run over 99 days between every city in the UK. When she arrives in a city, she will host a free run club for the local community - that’s a total of 76 run clubs alongside her daily ultra marathon.
The goal behind her challenge is to get 1 million people completing a 5K run. Her passion for movement comes from her own journey from professional dancer to paralysis and re-learning to walk and run. Today, her motto is ‘say yes to movement, because one day you’ll have to say no’, and she wants to make the fitness industry more inclusive, accessible and enjoyable for those who can move.
At the event, you’ll get the chance to hear more about how the huge event will work, as well as opportunities to support Esmée in the build up to the challenge and while she’s on the road.
It will also include the chance to hear from Chris Taylor, who is heading up operations and programming for The Nation’s 5K Tour, and is the experienced ultra distance event organiser behind Spencer Matthews, Josh Patterson and Sam Thompson’s endurance challenges.
Please see details below for the event - RSVP required by 20th January.
DATE: 27th January
